About

Joseph has always loved robots, especially those from the movies of his childhood (the 80s). He never wanted to grow up, it always seemed to him that playing and making were preferable. So now he makes toys out of clay. He still doesn't want to grow up.

His ceramic robots are predominantly made from slabs and extrusions. More recent work has involved 3D printing his own die plates and texture rollers derived from his drawings. Joseph assembles his Claybots at the firm side of leather hard. The robots are then fired to stoneware in a variety of kilns. Wood, electric and soda/gas.

Some of them are happy and some of them sad, but all of them are awesome.
